Oak Knoll Montessori School is an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) recognized school serving newborns to children 15 years.
AMI was founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori to train teachers in the Montessori method. AMI continues to train teachers – also known as “guides” – and consult with and recognize schools. An AMI recognized school is one that upholds the highest standards in Montessori education.
We are committed to the AMI Montessori pedagogy, supporting children to realize their full potential both academically and socially. Our mission is to provide a high quality authentic Montessori education to children of all cultural and economic backgrounds. We strive to instill in children completing our program: strong self-esteem, self-motivation, academic confidence, a deep-rooted love of learning, and a vision of their place in the world, and how they would like to contribute to the greater world.
